Full FAQ

We start with a diagnostic and a conversation about your goals, timeline, and current scores. From there, I build a custom plan that focuses on your student's specific weak spots. Each lesson mixes strategy, content review, and timed practice. After each session, you'll get a quick summary of what we covered and what's next.

Results vary by starting point and commitment, but many of my students see SAT increases of 100–300 points and ACT gains of 3–8 composite points over the course of a focused prep period. There are no guaranteed scores, but we'll use a structured plan and regular diagnostics so you can clearly track progress.

Most students meet once or twice per week. Once weekly works well for steady progress over a longer timeline. Twice weekly is ideal for students with upcoming test dates or who want faster score gains. We'll pick a schedule that fits your student's workload and test dates.

Yes. I assign targeted practice between sessions so students can reinforce what we've covered, not just 'do more problems.' Homework is usually a mix of timed sections, strategy drills, and review of missed questions. We use that work to shape the next lesson.

Absolutely. A big part of my job is helping students feel calmer and more in control on test day. We focus on building repeatable routines, eliminating avoidable mistakes, and giving them clear wins each week so confidence grows alongside scores.

Almost all of my tutoring is online, which allows flexible scheduling and easy access to digital practice tools. If you're local to the Framingham area and strongly prefer in-person lessons, feel free to reach out and we can discuss options.

No. While I'll recommend a timeline that makes sense for your goals, you're never locked into a long-term contract. You can start with a few sessions, see how it feels, and adjust as needed. My aim is to be a long-term partner, not a pressure-based program.

Many students begin light prep in the second half of sophomore year or early junior year, then ramp up more seriously 2–4 months before their target test dates. If you're on a shorter timeline, we can design a more intensive plan.

Both tests now overlap a lot in content, but some students naturally fit one format better than the other. I can help evaluate which test makes more sense after looking at practice scores, timing, and how your student thinks through problems.

Yes. Parents receive regular updates about what we're working on, how the student is progressing, and what I recommend next. You'll never be in the dark about how things are going.
